I’ve always wanted to make that perfect beachfront postcard, you know the kind— the ones that dot every newspaper stand on the streets of the cities we visit when we travel. And I think I’ve finally got the shot.

I actually took this photograph six years ago on a trip to The Maldives. It was an absolute dream, truly. We stayed at this resort, and like most resorts, they’re located on their own island. So all we did was walk around our island and lie around on the beach.

With that being said though, I did want to get a look at the way locals live, and Malé, the capital city which you’ll fly in and out of, is the perfect way to do so.
