Otaru is one of my favourite cities in all of Hokkaido. This tiny town adorns the front of many Hokkaido travel brochures, chiefly for the famous Otaru Canal.

But step away from the city’s main attraction and you’ll realise many of it’s picturesque streets are just as beautiful.

Whenever you get blindsided by the current moment, remember that there’s so much ahead of us, an entire life of adventures and new sights. Who knows what’s in store? Sure, there’ll be ups and there’ll be downs like always, but the unknown can be exciting if you want it to be; trust that there’ll be plenty of good days ahead.
